Driving my 2011 S today (35 degrees F and cloudy) for about 10 min when I hear a single "ding". Of course, I panic and look for tell tale lights. Nothing except this "snow flake" icon next to the "E" (gas gauge). I looked in the owner's manual and do not see anything on this issue. Has anyone seen this before and what does this mean??

Page 65:

Ambient Air Temperature Display

The outside air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit,is shown
on the instrument panel left hand screen whenever the ignition
is switched on.

If the temperature drops to 39°F or below,a snowflake symbol
will be added, and the displaywill flash for ten seconds, accompanied
by a single audible chime to alert the driver to potentially
hazardous road conditions.

Note that optimum accuracy will prevail when the car is moving.
