Hey there,

New here - from So Cal. Attended an AutoX event a while back and there was an Elise there - AWESOME car (although I think I prefer the looks of the Exige a little better). Will I ever be able to afford one - who knows - but they are awesome. Maybe some day huh :)

Live out near Trabuco Canyon (nice place for some canyon runs) - very close to Cooks Corner (the big biker hangout on Wednesdays and Sundays) :) Have lived out there since about 1980 (when the houses where new) :) Boy - have things changed there :)

Work in Costa Mesa as a Product Specialist at Stillen (North American Distributor for AP Racing). Have been here for almost a year now. Keeps me out of trouble for the most part :)

Anyway, hope to make some new friends here.

Take Care

Thank you very much. You are in SD? Thats not far at all :) Ever attend any of the AutoX events at Qualcom?
Almost all of them. Depends. I sold the Elise which was running at the Q and now run a Noble. I am very involved in the SCCA and the clubs running events at Qualcomm.

Ever make any of the SOLO events at Cal Speedway (or Autoclub Speedway - whatever they are calling it today)? Have been out there a couple of times. I live fairly close to the old El Toro air Mariane base - so like to go to events there when they have them.

Next time you are going to be at El Toro let me know. Would like to drop by and meet ya. Maybe I can catch a ride :) :)

Hi Page -

Welcome !
The POC (Porsche Owners Club) also has autoX events (I think monthly) at El Toro. I dropped in at one a few weeks back and there was an Elise there (hi Mike and Shelley if you're reading this).

BTW, Randy won't toot his own horn so I will - he's a national-class autoX guy, and a ride with him is an amazing experience - he makes it look easy....Randy's also the founder of Elisetalk (now Lotustalk) and a real good guy. :coolnana:

Figures - on a busy weekend :( ONE weekend a year, a club I belong to hosts a car show - I am on the car show committee. The show is actually on Sunday, but the real work happens on Friday evening and Saturday (and then again after the show).

Keep me posted though :)

Hope you all have an awesome time. Take LOTS of pics please :)

Actually, not judging a show - the club I belong to puts the show on. Its an annual show - where we donate a portion of the proceeds from the event to a charity (this year is the ALS Foundation). Its not a Lotus club (Sorry Guys) - I cant afford a Lotus - yet :) Its a Mustang club thats been around since 1985. Show is at Santa Margarita Ford on Sunday.
