In the UK, motorists are required to display a round certificate on their windshield(screen) that shows they've paid their road tax.

I'm trying to imagine this holder in use..

What does it bolt to? How does it attach to the windshield? Does the tax certificate then cover the Lotus emblem?

I believe that the actual tax disc slips into a recess on the other side. That side gets glued onto the windshield facing outward. The Lotus badge faces into the car.

I thought it was for a parking tax disk. I have been to a number of smaller cities that require "tax disks" to park. They are specific to each city or county, I think. The aluminum would stuck yo the windshield and the "tax disk" would slide into the pocket formed between the aluminium and the windshield.


Then maybe my memory is failing me.
