[SOLD] Ohlins Double Adjustable $1,400

I bought this Ohlins double adjustable suspension from another forum member this spring for my Elise, which I auto-x. When I finally got around to installing it last weekend, unfortunately, the ride height in the rear was too low to support by wide Hoosiers and there was a touch of rub on the test drive. Needless to say, they won't work for auto-x with my wide tires. They should not be a problem with stock tires.

The Ohlins part number is LOV1D510. It is my understanding that these shocks were designed for the federal (British) Elise. These offer a lower ride height than the Ohlins for the US Elises. Sorry, I don't know what the spring rates are.

Asking $1,400 shipped OBO. These shocks sell for $2,600 new.

Gotcha. Well these were designed by Ohlins for the 2004 British K-series. However, they work on the Federal elise.

Here are two threads discussing the differences between the LOV#D51 series and LOV#F12 series shocks.

There seem to be opinions that the LOV#D51, which I am selling, are substantially better than the version formerly sold by Sector111 and ForcedFed. Unfortunately, I can't vouch for that given the brevity of my test drive. Even a hint of rub with fresh Hoosiers is too much. By the way, I run a 245 Hoosier A6 in the rear with an additional spacer.

Yes. The dampers at max ride height still rubbed because the tires with the spacers are almost flush with the edge of the wheel well, so the tire don't go up into the wheel well.

you didn't try to raise the ride height to accommodate?

I did, but they still rubbed a smidge under normal driving. They just didn't work with the wider Hoosiers AND the spacer.
