Would like some opinions. Took my passenger door apart to get rid of a rattle. What is everyones opinion of putting sound deadener on the door?

With the engine 6" behind you and the rest of the build quality, I'm not sure it matters. In a new car, rattles/squeaks drive me nuts. In a Lotus, and I have a 1991, I only listen to see if one of the noises is something bad.

Don't need much if anything. Make sure the plastic rain shield is there and not all ripped up. Be careful adding sound deadener, it adds a lot of weight. If you feel you must put some in use it in strips to prevent "drumming".

Just keep the revs up! :sneaky: No deadener needed for THAT.

Does your Esprit have speakers in the doors? Ours doesn't.

Did you fix the rattle? Was it the lock rods becoming unclipped?

On my car there is no plastic rain shield the door is sealed quite well. The openings that you see in the picture have a cover over them and have gaskets on them. There literally is no opening
