Apparently that's what's been causing my idle issues:wallbang:. Is this a Toyota part? Anyone know the part number?

Thanks a bunch,
Tom

Thanks Charlie. None of the 3rd party parts dealers have it on their websites...I'll give Toyota a call tomorrow. Otherwise, ebay it is!

Where is this located in the engine? My car ran fine yesterday until I threw a 0420 then it stalled several times. But I think it's something like this causing my problem, something on the intake side.

Just talked to Toyota. Apparently on the 2003-2005 GT-S, the IACV is integral to the throttle body and cannot be bought separately. For 2000-2002, the IACV can be bought alone. So I guess my questions are:

Has anyone ever removed the IACV from their TB, or know if its possible?
Any chance the 2000-2002 IACV will actually work?
What's the likelihood I could fix my IACV? Is there a common failure mode?

Thanks folks,
Tom

In this day and age, A1 auto sells these for $85 or so... 1AISC00017 however I haven't proven it works with 05 elise yet since neither it nor the original or the new one from a1 are passing the following procedure (no movement seen)... But I'm on an aftermarket ECU too so there's lots of room for WTF o_O the part LOOKS identical and plugs in, and even comes with the right gasket. Anyone have any thought as to whether or not there could be a toyota/lotus difference? Very loath to pay $800 for one from a lotus source...
