What is the best way to lubricate the door hinges? The driver side has gotten to the point of being embarrassing. I am thinking WD40 but I thought I should find if anyone knows anything better.

I'd try some silicone based spray. WD40 just displaces moisture, it doesn't lubricate.

Silicone Spray

By the way, the door may be squeaking due to weight being put on it to enter or exit the car. You may want to double check your entry and exit strategies.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I don't think my entering or exiting is an issue but I'll pay more attention.

Wd40 works for me....lasts a few months and doesn't leave a mess (just stinks for a few hours). I tried something else once and it left a yellow mess......

Yep, the WD in WD40 stands for "water dispacemnt." It'll work for a short bit, but then the oil part of it (fish oil, I think) breaks down and the squeak returns. I like graphite. It stays in place for a long time and doesn't attract dirt in the joint.

white lithium grease might work as well, and it lasts a while.
