When I bought my 05 Elise, the sales man talked me out of the sport package because in December 04 there was an issue with getting the sport wheels. I need new tires and was wondering if I could put Sport sized tires on my car and have it still handle great on the track. There is a 20 mm difference in the front tire width so I am worried the fronts will not handle properly with the thinner rims.
Next I live in NJ and even though the car is kept in the garage, I think the garage will get below 32F in mid January. Do I have to worry about the R888 or the A048s in NJ?

Thanks
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

If you search you'll find a lot of info on this. But yes, many people, myself included, run 195s on the front base wheels.

As for how well some tires do below freezing, again, do a search. It has been discussed before. You can also try the manufacturer website, they should list such info.
