There's a spot on my starshield where it has come away from the paint. You'd think it would be on an edge, but its not, its a little patch between the turn signal and the headlight on one side. To be clear, the area is maybe 2" around.

Is there a way to get it to re-stick? Would a heat gun help? Or is this a "gonna need to replace the starshield" sort of problem?

Well, not sure exactly, seems like a weird phenomenon.

Having just removed some old starshield that was nearly 4 years old, I can say that the adhesive underneath was still pliable.

If you have an air bubble though, there's no place for it to go, and while you could try a blow dryer or heat gun, I would guess the only way to get the air out is with a pin hole using a small sewing needle or similar. This might be a futile attempt, but I'd be inclined to try it before replacing it if possible.

Is it clearly a bubble between the starshield and paint, or is it possible that the paint has detached from the body and the bubble is underneath it?
