Sometimes in the Elise, I try to start the car, and yes the clutch is in all the way, but the engine doesn't turn over. It doesn't make any noise at all, but if I hold the key turned for a few seconds it will fire up. Does anyone know of anyone in the Shoreline area that can check it out. I don't really feel like driving all the way to Park Place and have a no duplicate problem.

Wait, wait. You bought a Lotus and you are concerned about driving to Bellevue from Shoreline? Not to be harsh, but it's like 4 exits down and across the lake. Distance should not be an issue here.

If price is your concern I can understand. I'd offer that, as far as I know, there is not a mechanic in Shoreline that I would take the Lotus too. I'd call Park Place and talk to the guys there. They may know exactly what the problem is and give you a better sense for the way ahead.

Best of luck.

AFAIK, you shouldn't need the clutch in. I frequently start my car with: turn off immobilizer, turn key, push button. Without getting in the car. Is there anyway you're accidentally not turning the key all the way? Might have a loose connection.
