I store my car in a storage unit with no power over winter. I'd rather not disconnect my battery for fear of a PO630 or something or losing my BOE tune.

I was thinking of getting a big, fat deep cycle battery and hooking it up to the car with jumper cables.

Does anyone know the parasitic drain for an Elise?

If you have a digital multimeter, you can see what the drain is.

Did you know you can buy solar powered Battery Tender devices? Check their site.

Remember that you can pull the battery and bring it to where there is electricity.

Car will be fine, unless you hook up battery cables backwards.

PS: if you don't have one, get a digital meter very soon.

Have you thought about installing a battery switch for when car is going into long term storage. Switch off is no drain and will not affect VIN or tune as long as you don't forget to turn on switch before inserting key or pushing key fob buttons.
