ok, i searched for this, and i couldnt find any answer. so i am going to fire away here. feel free to crucify me if you want. after all, Easter is right around the corner.

is there a place in the Lotus where the hard top is stored? i saw the '09 Corvette the other day, and the removable transparent top is stored in the back of the car. does the Elise have a place anywhere within the car to store the hard top?

No

you didnt actually have to start a new thread for this, if you bumped up one of your many threads and asked the question i'm sure someone would've given you an answer.

Yowza! I used my Swiss Army Knife...the bone-cutting blade. I sawed the top lengthwise and it fits in the boot perfectly. I keep a roll of painter's or duct tape there. When I want to use the top again, I just "tape it up." It works better than the chain I was using to wrap the top, got it at Home Depot, and doesn't put any new scratches or gouges in the top. I might try Saran Wrap in the future, especially since I'm interested in adding a moon roof. I think I'll try making the roof in the shape of a half-moon...should look really cool dude. I'll put up pics soon.

...the hardtop's for occasional removal and installation with storage in your garage; the softtop's for field removal and installation with stowage in the boot or package shelf...

...the elise is more classic targa roadster than modern automatic convertible, and intended primarily for open-air driving...other than the (tentatively) forthcoming solstice coupé, i don't know of any other cars in current production which use the same old-school system...

I put mine against the wall in the garage to cover my porn collection from my wife so she doesn't see it. It works great.

I wonder if Jesus would drive with his hard top on or off?

I'm going back to hell now.

******,

Another question/thread? There is no way you tried to search. There are a bunch of threads here on different ways to store the hardtop. They are here. You are lazy. I would have gladly done a search for you to show you various ways of storing the hard top but give a man a fish and... you have been given far too many fish in your threads already. I hope no one here answers anymore of your questions seriously.

Now, grab your pole (not that one -eek-) and catch or die.

Nope, sorry, you are wrong. i searched. i even searched twice. perhaps i didnt put the right words or phrase in, but i didnt find the answer to what i was looking for.

i would have liked to have found what i was looking for. that would be better than getting insulted and told to go away by people who are acting like complete di~kheads towards a guy who is trying to learn all he can before he invests $50,000+ for a Lotus.

It would be easy to find his pole if he moved my hard top.

Mike, feel free to post your questions.

Your car, should you buy it new and choose the hardtop option, should come with a hardtop storage bag (not meant to store in the car, leave in the garage) AND a soft-top with stowage bag that WILL fit in the trunk.

OK. I'm sorry I was so nasty. You did say "feel free to crucify me."

Since you now know that there is no place on the car for storage other than over the cockpit, here are a few options for storage of the top. Found by

Hey, its ok. Everyone asks stupid questions; I ask a lot of them and get great responses from the LT family.

Its just that this one is very very stupid, and people tend to find that amusing.

Hope that helps.

You know RoadDad, you are going to hell because you used the "crucify" word in your post. Jesus wouldn't like that while he was driving without the roof on his Lotus in the rain.

See you there. I'm going to move my Hard Top.
