Hello. I am in the market to purchase an Elise and there is a 2006 storm titanium elise listed on Ebay that has caught my eye. This would be my first Lotus purchase and I'm a bit skeptical about buying a car where I can't speak directly with the owner. Does anyone in the Denver area know this Elise or the owner? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, Doug, for the offer to look at the Elise for me! The owner agreed to talk on the phone with me and he was nice and seemed pretty honest during our discussion. He did mention, though, that once the Ebay auction ends tomorrow night, the car is essentially not for sale. Only if I'm truly serious about buying his car will he put it back up for sale. I've narrowed my search to this 2006 Elise but have also been talking to Hayes at Wirewheel about a potential purchase (waiting for the cars to be listed). I think I'll be patient for now and see what my best option is when everything is in front of me.

Once again, thanks for your offer. I may take you up on it in the near future if I just have to have this particular Elise. Of course, there will be compensation if that is the case.
