Good eye! I ordered a few different sizes from Steele rubber products, should be here next week. once I know which one fits the best I'll post up the part no.You may be missing the rubber bumper on the fuel door.
Mine went missing. A little rubber hose cut to size on the metal nipple thing does the trick. I can send you a picture if you'd like.Good eye! I ordered a few different sizes from Steele rubber products, should be here next week. once I know which one fits the best I'll post up the part no.
I actually drove the lotus to work today since it hadn't been driven in the last week. and go figure the driver side headlight went out. so I went ahead and disabled the DRL and replaced the bulbs. hopefully will get some longer life out of the bulbs, also when I replaced them it looks liked the previous owner had an osram bulb on one side and a hella on the other. just switched them to Osram nigthbreakers. h7
They don't last long. Take my advice found here: https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f95/elise-exige-full-length-floor-mats-footrest-delete-98430/ buSo my stock mats weren’t the worst but they certainly weren’t new so I Ordered some FTP full length footrest delete floor mats. They took about a week from the time I ordered until they showed up at my door. Premium Black with silver edging. They look great! Very happy with them and high quality. They also fit perfect
thanks! to those that asked i had ZERO problems getting the 3mm hex rotor retaining screw(i think it was 3mm) out of the rotors. i used a 3/8" cordless impact i have and they came out VERY easily. no heat no liquid wrench. for the rears i did have to remove the parking brake cable off the rear of the caliper to access the lower caliper mounting bolt and then i took the whole caliper off, also pay attention to how the handbrake spring is retained so you know exactly how to put it back together and don't lose the washer on the bolt holding the cable to the caliper. also for first timers changing rotors and pads, knock the caliper pins out first, the front pins come out toward the center of the car and rears come outwards. shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do all four rotors and pads. i had the penskes in for a week and then i put the bilsteins back on to do a back to back and lower ride height a bit. hopefully this weekend i'll put the penske's back on and while i have the front coilovers out i'll put in the bwr swaybar and endlinks and swap the stock steering arm to the BWR arms. in hindsight i probably should've put in the rear toe links on while i had the rear calipers off since i'd have more room to pop the outer toe link joint, but i may just pickle fork them now since i have new outer joints and i don't care if i mangle the stock ones. After all said and done i'll have to re-align and re-cornerbalance. my buddy is gonna hate me when i come back for the third time to corner balance and align(once just to check stock #s, second time after penskes and taking out stock shims, and now after new ride height, steering arms, and rear toe links). hahaLooks Great. Really love this thread and your updates.
 good stuff, I haven't gotten to the power part of the equation yet, I'm still trying to tidy up and get the car to as new as possible. it was already in excellent condition but trying to get it all PERFECT with brakes, aesthetics, suspension and then I'll should be an easy power mod.Car looks great.
I also have a 08 S240. With the BOE torque 300 tune , clutch, flywheel, suspension and other go fast parts. So enjoy it.
Here is two pics of mine
I built an XP car that can be under 1600lbs. I've known Dark Sol for over 20 years. NO ONE is as serious about weight reduction as DarkSol!!! I've driven that car and it is a masterpiece. They don't last long. Take my advice found here: https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f95/elise-exige-full-length-floor-mats-footrest-delete-98430/ bu
Aluminum carpet buttons? The plastic ones are lighter, and look better IMHO. I'm serious, which is a sure sign of my addiction to the lack of weight. Not darkSol serious. darkSol ShowCase
I wasn't even trying to compete with Dark Sol. I actually kept my AC, when Allen did the front oil coolers delete and Laminova install. Then he told me how much weight I could have saved. For power to weight I have the Ducati.I built an XP car that can be under 1600lbs. I've known Dark Sol for over 20 years. NO ONE is as serious about weight reduction as DarkSol!!!
