Anyone knows a really strong glue or epoxy that can be used to attach metal to fiberglass.

Need it to make sure RaceView mirrors base will stay on! Do not ask but it has been hell installing them on my car. Between new metal support inside door and british clumsiness (they used 3 yes 3 differents types of bolts and sizes to attach the bases of mirrors). Oh! And bolts on left mirrors different than the driver mirror!!! :wallbang:

So since I can only use 2 bolts to attach was wondering if glue or epoxy can be of help for support.

Thanks.

3M Panel Bond

Be warned - you'll have to cut the parts apart to separate them, much like the Beta stuff. I'd advise just using 3M body trim tape, assuming that there's a suitable flat on the back to bond it with.

Of course, if you're going that drastic of a route anyway, I'd dispense with the bases altogether and just bolt the mirrors directly to the doors.

Liquid Metal might work..... try it on a scrap piece first. I used it for some strange applications, and the stuff dries hard as steel !

If you are still interested in a great epoxy try Pliogrip by Ashland Chemical (also called Pro Form PF7771), a urethane structural adhesive specifically made for metal, smc, plastic and fiberglass. Much like 3M panel bond you will need to cut it apart should you need to remove the bases in the future.

JB Weld, the original (not the 5 minute stuff). In any case, no matter which product you use, a clean, dry, abraded surface will produce the best results. Use isopropyl and water 50/50 to prep both surfaces. Also if you have an opportunity to create additional features such as holes or slots (which the adhesive can fill) you can create a mechanical attribute to the bonding process. This will greatly enhance the end result.
