Hey guys
After my BWR SC install, my weatherstrip was not happy about being put back. It looks like the adhesive strip got all crossed up upon itself and refuses to re-adhere.
I went and bought something I thought would work, butly caulk strips, and they did work for part of the roof, but the area where the gasket makes a sharp curve is not adhering. It looks like I'll be cleaning it off and trying something else there ($15.00 worth of weatherstrip caulk down the drain!)
Has anyone had to reattach when their adhesive strip was in bad shape? Some of itself is clumpy and foam is left on the paint. I am tempted to clean it, get some black RTV, lay a bead down and try to clamp it somehow while it cures. ANyone have a workable solution? Thanks
