I have a $150 Tire Rack gift certificate that expires in a week. What should I get for my touring pac Elise?

I'm not interested in new wheels or tires at this point (and don't want to lay out the extra cash anyway) and it appears that they don't carry brake pads that will fit our cars. A search of their site under Elise turns up nothing.

Maybe light bulbs? But which ones? And that's only 1/2 my available cash. Or the G Tech Performance Meter at $229? Never had anything like that, and wonder how well it works.

What would you do?

I would probably keep it until I need new tires. But browsing though their "other" section, I found a few things that look useful if you don't have them yet:

helmet bag
mechanic's gloves
torque wrench

Unfortunately, can't keep it - it expires 12/22/04

OK, who wants it? Highest bid over $100 not only gets the gift certificate, but we'll send you one of our lovely Rodio & Brown, Ltd. holiday cards that are going out today :)

Not like there are a lot of choices, I bet you can find something you'll like.

Either you can buy products for the elise:

Or buy Tire maintenace/Tools/cleaning products

Or buy apparel:

Or buy a gift to yourself or someone:

or buy yourself a gift certificate with yours :)

Miguel, I don't know how you got that Elise-specific page to come up, but thanks! My Elise search drew a blank.

I think I'm going to go with these lights! High and low beams come to $141

I must admit that I tried to follow the headlight threads here on Elisetalk, but I couldn't keep up with the technical jargon. Any lighting experts think these are a bad choice?

You can get better bulbs at your local auto parts store for about $50 total. Sylvania XV, in the purple package, very bright and not tinted blue.

Get a torque wrench, tire gauge, gloves...

Well, there you go -- return the bulbs, and get a credit slip! Probably no expiration date on that.

And I'm only half-kidding. I did the same thing once, cause I decided I didn't like what I'd bought, and I got a credit slip with no expiration.

Steve, my advise would be to stay away from any blue coated bulbs as light intensity will be diminished and prob even darker than stock...I had PIAA extreme whites in past and was disappointed with them...either upgrade to full HID's or otherwise use the Osram Silverstars...would spend the 150.00 on something else.

Now you're getting up to tire buying and stockpiling territory.
