The Ferrari guys calling Brawn arrogant - what a laugh, these guys are all incredibly arrogant rotfl

Opening salvos fired at Paris hearing - Planet-F1 News - from planet-f1.com

As I was reading this, I thought: Colin Chapman would probably never have developed half of the amazing cars he had, with these clowns stifling innovation the way they are. :wallbang:

ferrari red is for arrogance. LOL
"It was Max Mosley who said recently that costs must be reduced by limiting the opportunities for technical innovation. "

what? Limit the opportunities for technical innovation? isn't that what racing is about, finding new ways to improve the car?

I love racing, but the rules and craziness that have come out of F1 lately are insane.
Anyone who takes 90 minutes to make a case about anything must be wrong. Truth should never take more than about 10 minutes, even when embellished with humor.
This has gotten pathetic. Teams whining because they were outsmarted with the design. They are slower and are complaining. As it was said earlier, if it was ferrari that had the diffuser, none of this would have happened.
Chapman also said that the competition starts when you receive the regs. If the diffuser issue was seen by some and not others, maybe they should open their eyes next time.
Though this issue does point up the absurdity of current rules which effectively prohibit other teams from catching up.

Bingo
can anyone post the pics of the diffuser in question vs the one which supposedly is 'legal'?

Thanks.

Diffuser design deemed legal.

I don't believe it!!??!!! That is the first time in recorded history that a Motorsports council decision was made to Ferrari's disadvantage. I almost
needed CPR when I read it....Dave
Great. Finally we can get back to some racing. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes the other teams to catch up. This is shaping up to be another good year .
Brawn is a genius! Honda must regret selling the team.
The decision made by F1 was the correct one.

This will be an interesting season :D
YES!
Glad to hear the news. I was worried they would go the other way and take away all the points. Will be an interesting year.....Love to see an underdog at the top!!
I wonder how many teams will have a new diffuser ready in time for China.

I'm not really surprised by the ruling. The FIA is getting what they want this season-more competition.

I was surprised no one complained about the size of Red Bull's rear wing supports and how far they come down along each side. That ingenious design works as additional diffuser and is also legal. But only Adrian Newey appears to have thought of it so far. I'd expect to see that incorporated into upcoming changes along with the disputed diffuser design.

The rest will be trying to catch up to Brawn all season and that what makes it fun for us!

I'm glad Ross is sticking it to Ferrari, those bastards saying all kinds of s**t about him in the hearings. He played a huge part in making them what they are today, but they aren't loyal to anyone.

And Rebens having the big one up on Ferrari, where he played the role of "little brother with a nice personality" for years.

They missed out in not placing advertising on the inside of the end plates. -eek-
