That's a huge bump, from 190 hp at the crank to 350 hp. A little hard to believe.

But if it's possible in the Elise, you would have a weight to power ratio of 5.6 pounds per hp. -eek- -eek- -eek-

Looks like they started having ignition problems (or clutch problems?) at the peak of that graph. Still pretty good, though.

Didn't someone from Lotus once say the engine could be easily modified to 300 hp?

over 1,000 hp out of 1.5 liter turbo's can be done, formula one did it for years, its just a matter of money and reliability. pump your toyota engine up to 500hp.. no big deal, it will just cost a ton of money and you'll be replacing the unit every couple of months.

Lets just put a Turbo in the beast lose the trunk and go for it! Anyone volunteer his Liz to be the guinea pig?
