Last year I went to change my tie rods because i noticed the boots starting ripping and like a good boy went to S111 and bought these tie rods.
Track Rod End

To my surprise they didn't fit?? As in, the point where you screw them in the S111 rods were too small and when i say small I mean by a few sizes. :panic:

Now I bought the car used so is it possible that the owner may have upgraded the whatever that piece is call that joins the two? Or?

Ive got a Lotus Elise 2006 sports touring black package.

I think you've posted to the wrong forum.

The female part of the rod end threads onto the inner tie rod, which is part of the Lotus steering rack. If that part doesn't fit, then you probably do not have a Lotus rack in the car, since the inner tie rods are not generally replaceable.
