Okay it's been four years and I need to replace my vinyl.. I'm thinking perhaps I should refresh the look too.

Here's my current car:

I came up with the following concept a few years back, but I don't recall how it was received here. Reconsidering it..

Below is my car without any mods..
Have at it guys. What would you do?

Black package looks good, but black bonnet is too much.

I can't find any Orange Evoras with the black pack...

Rear bandit mask could look good.

Or how about doing the clear Plasti-Dip over the Orange, like this one?

I agree about the "bonnet" being too much. I added some carbon pieces and didn't want my car to look like patchwork so I did the upper cockpit in black so the carbon would blend in.

I wasn't going to do the bandit mask but my son (not really into cars) liked the look so I did it as well.

Orange and black always look good together.

I'll second enjoying the stock paint before you move on to the next toy.
Another vote for a return to stock. ;)
Thanks guys.. I enjoyed the stock look for about 9 months before I blacked out the roof.

I have also done the bandit look (that p-shop mockup pic with the bandit mask and diffuser is actually my car before I implemented the concept).

I may leave the roof bare for a few days to think about what I want to do.. Maybe it'll grow on me.. maybe not. The Evora is far from conservative, but I want something a bit more on the wild side.

I have this concept right now of blacking out the bonnet only along the plane with the headlights.

As for the suggestion with the plastidip, right now matte and satin black finishes are so overdone I actually cringe every time I see a car with one. The popularity of the look has moved from sports cars to even every day cars.. I even saw a Prius with it. So, seeing things like that sort of ruins the entire concept for me. So, no, I would never do that to my car, here in Socal. Don't get me wrong, it's cool on it's own merit, but when everyone and their uncle bill has it (aand do it all wrong), I have a hard time wanting my car to look like that slammed Prius parked in front of the supermarket.

Squid - the concept you posted looks similar to the Evora GTC car. Racing Cars | Lotus Cars

I actually think it is a nice look

Maybe you should combine these 3. (Mainly add the black to the front splitter)

Squid, you doing it yourself again? If you could use a hand and schedules work out, I'd be willing to come over and help out in order to get a little practice before I tackle my own. I know it's actually pretty easy but I'd still like to see it happen in person.

As for your project, when you say "along the plane with the headlights" are you talking across the bonnet (from one headlight to the other) or up up toward the windshield. I think running it up has the potential to look pretty cool. Maybe thin it out as it comes up to the windshield and terminate it there, or continue along the entire car (along the top of the door.

I will also offer the same assistance for the same reason. I'm considering a black pack DIY sometime down the line and would like a quick course on it.

Yep, hood is too much in my mind. Rest of black pack is very cool.

Hey, what happened to the intake scoops????? Self-jettison at 130 mph?
I will use every avenue I can to frame you for murder if you put vinyl over the entire hood like in that second pic!!!

I second that.

Black hood =
+1 for the "black pack" look with bandit mask!

The rear diffuser on the orange one looks great. Who makes those?
the current look but black the mirrors too.

It's photoshop. We could make a diffuser like that if somebody wanted.

Squid, do this: !

Instead of the entire hood in black, you might want to try just the center section of the hood in black, from the curved seam at the front of the radiator exit screens back to the wipers, like oldmansan's Exige in post #4. That might compliment the Black roof, like the rear window panel does in the back.
