I have stock LSS rims. I'm pretty sure those are 7.5 inches in width right? I'd like to put wider R888's on them. I have looked at the 235/40 and the 245/40. Both seem to work in all aspects except the rim width range. Tread Zone lists them both as having a rim width range of 8-9.5. I'm assuming that since my wheels are 0.5 inches too narrow that these tires will not work correct? Safety is important.
Can anybody educate me on the importance of this 0.5 inches? Preferrably someone with a bunch of track time or tire install experience.
Thank everyone.
