I am up for new rubber on the Caterham. Since my tires get shipped in from overseas to my home, is there a good specialist tire/race rubber shop where I can take the Caterham to swap the tires over on the rims?

I dont like the idea of any old tire place putting a seven up on a lift. I figure there are enough Exige/Elise owners here with the same concern around the NJ/NYC metro area.

Sports and Specialist Cars in Hopewell? They are a Lotus dealer, but certainly have many vintage and race cars that they work on.

Tires only? Try Eurosport in Westfield. Ask for Sean (owner) and be very specific about what you want. He used to prep/race BMWs.

Why don't you offer to hold up the car (one side at a time) while they mount and dismount the tires? It's a Superlight, isn't it? How heavy could it be????

On a more serious note, another good tire shop that works on a lot of race and collectable cars, is EuroTire in Fairfield, NJ (Route 46). Ask for the owner, Bill.
