Uh.. I honestly don't know much about them.. I'll recite what I do know;

B16B engine... 1.6L 185HP, it's lighter as I believe they removed some sound deadening, has Recaro seats, no idea about suspension.

The "normal" civic engine is a B16A, or D16y or something I think, with under 150hp, under 130 for the D16y

Edit; And as eluded to below, it is imported from Japan.

It's the Racing version of Civics from Japan. Think M3 CSL (in fact Type R stands for...wait for it...Type Racing).

I'm not updated with my Honda knowledge: I'm not sure EK9 Type R Civics were imported to the US. Is your friend's car right hand drive?

my favorite type R. You can import the B16B motor here and make your own. I wanted to make a CRX type R with that motor. It will have to wait...
