This forum seems to have more reposts than any of the others that I frequent.

I was starting a new thread at dbstalk (sat tv forum) today. Next to the space where you type the title of the post, they had a handy little button to check if the topic had been posted before.

Maybe we could utilize something like that here.:D

I thought we already had a tool to cut down on reposts - see the username above this post.

Isn't that what "search" is all about ?!!
It is, but Ace10 can't seem to knock it into people's heads to use it. I think this is basically a friendly reminder at the time of posting that might cut down on the underwater Elise posts.

How about just answering this question:

What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Is that an African or European Swallow?

It is very simple..we need a repost Hall of Shame...

If you repost, your avatar is changed to this for 1 week (1st offense - it gets worse for subsequent offenses):

I think everyone newly signed up should have access ONLY to posts like the uberpost, etc...( only the posts that answer all the usual questions ) and shouldn't be allowed to post untill they put a certain amount of time into researching those threads. Of course this probably would be impossible.
