It's time we decide. I'm for the S2.5 since there is little chassis change and that tends to be the deciding factor in version numbers. Anyone hear from LC USA about what they are calling it? Do we even have the code name for the project?

"The Fed" ?
Sorry couldn't resist
I agree, it hasn't changed enough to be the S3, perhaps the S2f
This is a tricky one. While it is still a S2 for the most part, it is the first time that this car has been street legal in the USA. It is unknown if this version will ever be available in Euro. For this reason I feel the S3 title may be warranted. Plus I just think S3 rolls off your tongue better that S2.5.
Yeah anyway I believe the S2.5 title is (more or less) taken. Back during the summer months, "S2.5's" as they were called, were being sold in England. These had the Rover engines, of course, but had the remote locking and electric windows that the federalized cars will be getting.
nothing fancy...
just
ELISE

S3 will be the next version
Not to leave will enough alone, with the Fed Elise coming shortly. Wonder how soon and what the S3 version will be like. :p ;)
