My dad once said to me, just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD do it...

Just my first thought when I saw the picture, no offense meant of course.

that's going to be one high torque, low revving setup..... with those long runner intake manifolds, twin turbos without intercooling. I don't know my bmw engines well, but that looks like an M70. In stock form, they made peak power in the low 5000 rpm range. On pump gas, you are going to have a torque monster with properly sized turbos.

I hope you beef up the torsional ridgity of the lotus chassis....because it is a wet noodle when compared to a modern chassis.

nonetheless, I love the project idea!!!

Porsche transaxle boxster S
Yes chassis was reinforced since its going
Into a g car. I will take some good pics and post them.
It only needs a few pounds of boost 5-7
to make 450-470 hp. Of course the brakes
and suspension was also addressed. The chassis
required a few mods and motor fits the car.
If you lose a motor or trans its a cheap option
that will give the guy next door with a 458 a run
for his money.
Sounds amazing!!!!
