Has anyone actually bought one of these?

I can't find anything on fit & finish - other than an old thread with similar questions on the same clam and no answers.

Anyone buy one, fit it, paint it? Any insight?

Most of the carbon clams are for the rover motors so I would be very careful. Are you trying lose weight or just looking for aesthetics?

Neither specifically. Not too worried about a couple lbs either way. I have clam damage and would prefer to replace than repair. If these fiber clams fit well and didn't require much finish work before painting I would go for it.

It would make sense that these are for Rover motors since no one seems to have purchased one. They are all over the place too, as little as $1,900.
