Hey Andy & DE Homies. I just called Pat. He told me that they have had indeed 6 cars and that he should of had 13 by now but Lotus was 60 days late. They will not be getting another demo and he has been asked by Lotus to spec out the next 10 cars which includes me! (#21-30, I believe)

So I told him to hook me up with LAZER BLUE, dog! It's still available. Sport Pack, hardtop, starshield. I'll get the stage 2 later on. He told me $900 or so plus $200 install labor.

I have now splintered from COM and am now forming the LBM!

Oh damn! I forgot to tell him about the delete option!!

Pat didn't give me an exact quote, he wasn't sure how much it is. It was a figure off the top of his head. If Aaron, who works at the Parts department gives a quote of $622, I'd believe that is correct. It sounds about right anyway. Probably $800 or so installed?

I think Final_Advocate is #21.

holy sh*t! #22 in April! doesn't sound right to me. Andy is #20 and is expecting his in January.

But I did get an email back from Pat saying they only delivered ONE car in October.

That's not entirely accurate. Last time I emailed Austin he predicted an October/November delivery. Based on their rate of delivery I guessed that January/February was more likely. If it's true that #14 is being delivered in early December then I think that's still possible but it's not something I heard from DE.

I guess we still won't know until a few more people get their cars. Pat was just telling me that it takes almost two weeks just to unload the crates at the ports!

you should call Pat. He was compiling a list for the next 10 orders in mid-September. I was briefly on it, so I would suspect you definitely would be on it. Call him.

I'm not remotely interested at that premium, but it's interesting that they didn't make any effort to haggle

Actually, this is not entirely true.

You called and specifically wanted your car for June delivery and at MSRP. When i called you back i said that it was not possible to guarantee your requirements and you were absolutely specific about June delivery, so i suggested that we would refund your deposit to which you agreed.

Who are you and Andy referring to? physi? How are things looking over there? How many more cars are you expecting for the end of the year?

Did you and Pat submit orders 21-30 already? I'm #28 but Pat said I'd be in the first in the batch after this one. But I just learned that all the Laser Blue cars are being built at the end of November. I was wondering if I can make that schedule.

After reading this thread, I started to get more and more concerned...

I put a $2500 deposit on this car 4/15/04. According to my paperwork from DE (which includes a copy of my receipt), I'm #22 (also?) and when I spoke to the guys at the dealership last month, I was told to expect December/January delivery. Now, either their numbering system is wrong and/or their just f***ing with all of us by making up delivery times to keep stringing us along. Either way, I plan to call on Monday to figure out exactly where I stand.

I put my deposit down on 4/10/04. How can you be 6 spots ahead of me if you placed your deposit 5 days after me? From your date I would guess #29 which would be Feb/March 2005 delivery.

Hey gang! All 16 of us should meet at the dealer so we can have a town meeting. LOL

That's not such an absurd idea. We could give DE a heads-up, let them know what common questions we all have, give them some time to do some research / make some calls, and meet up there to share information. Then everyone's on the same page.

That way they're not handling daily calls and having to check-and-get-back and so on.

I'm up for it. When should we do it? Seems like half of the names on the list are low posters. They may not see the date we pick. Although, if we pick a later date, everyone may get a chance to see it and come to an agreement.

Just to add more confusion to this mess....

I spoke to Pat yesterday and was told that I have moved up on the "list". He says I am now #19 and should expect Late February, early March delivery. He said deliveries are going MUCH slower than was expected (only 2 or 3 a month so far).

I've decided that in order to maintain my sanity about this process, I have to abandon the idea of the list and just expect to get the car whenever it arrives.

now you're 10 spots ahead placing a deposit after me. Have you ordered your car already? I'm really confused here. :wallbang:
