I really hope you're either yanking our chain or horribly misinformed. They're expecting my car sometime next month and you're saying Next Year??

Maybe "MSRP" is the magic word here. I wasn't aware that Desert Euro was selling any cars at MSRP. It could well be that they have a list of 120+ "Premium" deposits so they won't be selling you one at MSRP for years.

I expect Austin and Pat will come in Monday to a full voicemail box.

If you speak truth, I will have to dig up my scrap of paper with Gary Hagen's cellphone number on it.

I don't want to say exactly what number or VIN I am until after delivery. I've posted some frank and unflattering views of the (lack of) information from DE, so I'd rather not risk it.

I have to say that lately, as delivery draws near, DE has been more forthcoming with useful information and more responsive.

I'll say that I'm #1x, ETA 11/20, and I have had my VIN for over a month.

I'm getting the "new & improved" MSRP. I understand some earlier deliveries were under the old sticker price.

Hey all 16 of us should meet at the dealer so we can have a town meeting. LOL

That's not such an absurd idea. We could give DE a heads-up, let them know what common questions we all have, give them some time to do some research / make some calls, and meet up there to share information. Then everyone's on the same page.

That way they're not handling daily calls and having to check-and-get-back and so on.

you guys do know there are 2 lists at DE right?...I put my deposit there in early June 04' and I was #28 but really #48...they said the first 20 had to pay over msrp but all the people 21 and over didnt have to pay over msrp...

Seriously?! Only 20 people are paying MSRP+$2500?

I thought the Premium list was much longer than that -- over a year long.
