I read and watched all videos and I'm not doing anything different? When I'm done the cable that runs along the front pops up and my finger fits thru. I was pretty sure the first time I did this that wire fit tight and there was no slack in the top but I sure can't figure it out now.

I tried positioning the cable first but once the second lock is down it just pops right out. Do I need to adjust the cable?

Hmmm ... I've never had that happen.

Does it do it in the front and back, or just the front?

So I now see the Velcro pouch has a tension rod in there. I tried to get some pictures. I left the images large so you get see the detail.

Mine is very tight, front and back, when I snap it down. It actually takes quite a bit of force to snap it down (not a ton). I didn't even realize there was a velcro patch (but I have a hard top on most of the year, so I don't touch my soft top much). If there is an adjuster there, sounds like you just need to tighten it.

Yeah it not an easy push down but I believe it was harder on day one, maybe they need readjusting after first use.

yeah that got it. Ok for future searchers...

First turn the nut so that it moves away from the drivers side. ( I needed to go 1/4 of an inch just about all the way it could go).

Second you have to turn the long cable tension rod clockwise till it's close to that nut. You must use two pliers so that you can turn it ( hold it, and get a new grip on it ) and turn some more. Otherwise it tries to turn back.

Third you then tight the nut turning towards the drivers side till it clamps on to the tension rod.

Hope this helps someone :)
