Both of my REAR rotors look like this. Track only car. Front rotors look normal.

Can anybody tell me what this means:

I had the same exact thing. Around 20K miles my pad were to blame. It wears unevenly like that!

I will look at and possibly post pics of the pads this weekend.

ruggedbert, was it your rear brakes too? And, what pads were they?

Removed the EBC Ultimax rear pads this past weekend. The pads look 100% normal and are evenly worn. The rotors are also even across the surface confirmed by feel and micrometer. I am going to guess that the outer part of the rotor was heated to a higher temp and is discolled differently than the inner part. The entire inside surface of both of the rear rotors matched the color of the outer edge of the outside surface.

Could part of the rotor have an adhesion layer and the other part not?
