I have a 1984 Turbo and there were 418 produced that year. Is there any data out there shows how many were exported to the states? What percentage did Lotus have in the US market at that time?

According to the book Supercars: Lotus Esprit Turbo there were 522 Esprits manufactured as 1984 MY cars, broken down as follows:

301 for the UK
174 to the US
47 for the rest of the world.

Is this accurate? Who knows? It's what the book says, it doesn't cite its source.

The difference between your total and this is that these numbers might include the S3 model, which is the same car but without a turbo.

The book breaks it down by MY 1976 through MY 1988. It was published in 1989.

I have that book, it was written by John Simister with full cooperation from Lotus (MJK is featured in the book), as well as Mike, Roger Becker, Tony Rudd,Colin Spooner also had a part in it so I have always taken the info contained within as gospel.

Good book IMO, out of print though so try Ebay.
