what town in England is the Lotus company located in? i believe the video says its an old World War II base, correct?

my dad is 91, he was with the 101st Airborne in WWII, and if i buy a Lotus i am sure he might have heard of the place.

Visit Group Lotus PLC ®. There is a good deal of information on the history of Lotus and the Hethel location, which was in fact a US airbase! The track I'll be driving on this summer is actually the original runway and taxi ways for the airbase. Neat.

******, here's a link that might help but in the future, you can always go to google.com and type in something you want to know and "voila" out comes a world of information...google is your friend :D

People've tried to teach ****** the ways of the mysterious "Search Function/Engine" but I guess he's in a secret society where things need to be told to you time and time again...:thwack:

Although, The Link is helpful, he could really read up on this stuff, and then ask 20 more questions about the information covered. :D (Just kidding ******)

By him stating his dad's age of 91, tells me that not only is he an older gentleman but also that he might not fully grasp the internet so any repetitive help I (we) can give him may be useful.

It's easy to get caught up in the bashing of others on the internet and I'm as guilty as anyone but sometimes you have to step back and re-evaluate things which in this case, why ****** asks so many questions and it all makes sense now....respect your elders comes to mind :)

Maybe ****** just wants to engage in some friendly conversation with you fine, well-mannered, gracious individuals.

Sheeeeeeesh.....lighten up. I suppose once the Forum possesses the sum total of all Lotus knowledge, we'll only be allowed to search the archives?

Of course I respect my elders, so I'm sorry if I got caught up in this ******.

But to want a Lotus at that age. My Gen'd say "Props to ya dude!"
I was on the other end of the spectrum, being a younger member of the forum. So I sort of felt the other side, the "Stupid immature kid" bashing side. I guess I could empathize.

******#1!!!!!

Don't listen to these deceptive cretins.

Lotus is made in a town called Wall, which is located north of London and right next to Stormhold.

Jesus was said to be caught driving his Lotus there.

ahhhhh, so very true. i thought perhaps some people might tell of their experiences in that town, or when they visited Lotus.

forgive me for trying to get conversation going about the Lotus HQ.

M
But the thing is, you've had plenty o' threads that were made that could've been answered by searching, and that caused the flaming (which is still bad nonetheless)...The conversation brings out the Lotus in all of us, but some of the questions asked (and I have a point of reference here) were unecessary.
Some advice I got a while ago.

"If you haven't searched, go do that first. After that, if a post doesn't ask a question, answer a question, or make on-topic conversation, it's useless"

You know....last week I got the some crap from someone when I asked a question about my dry sump pump for me Seven.....you know..."you should search the web....google is your freind...

My take on it is that it really pisses me off when people say that. Who are they...the internet police? If the question bothers you...dont respond.

You know this is a community....a friendly community. We use it like conversation. Like we are sitting around a table talking....What is the big deal if I or someone asks a question that has been asked before. It is like talking.

How would you like it if everytime you opened your mouth..someone jumped down it. "yah....like someone just asked the question"....or "did you not hear the guy just said that"

These internet police take the time to chastise someone...it is a unnessary post so dont give me the crap about you are trying to stop unnecessary posts......

It just makes the poster feel a negative feeling and is totally wrong in my opinion. Give people a break.
