I have a 2005 Elise. I do not have the sport pack. When I got the car I had visions of doing the mountains every weekend and occasional track days. Life intervened and now I drive primarily to work and an occasional outing. Even on these routes I find occasion to appreciate what I have but not to the 9/10s (probably closer to 6/10s but its fun anyway).

I'm looking for new wheels solely because of the limited tire choices for the standards. I don't want to spend a lot of money that isn't performance related because I won't see the wheels when driving. They just can't look terrible (clearly a subjective criteria). Anyway I've read many threads about wheels but not seen anything about the BWR TR Motorsport F1s. I've searched several times but without results, though I know someone will pull a thread about 30 seconds after reading this. Anyway I think its between the Rotas and F1s. I want to stay with LSS sizes because I know there won't be any rubbing or other fitment issues unless someone thinks there is a good reason to change. I would like to hear from those who’ve had actual experiences with either of these wheels. Or if you were considering these and chose something else why. Thanks in advance.

I purchased the TR F1's and am very happy with them, much easier to clean than the LSS wheels, and lighter too. I got mine from tire rack...

Apex, thanks for the info. I liked the weight of these better than the Rotas but do you think they are any easier to dent than other rims?

enjoy.

search term: *motorsport* wheel*
then just dig through them.

if you want more tire options, and don't want to drop coin, consider the team dynamics. at least with them you get the full LSS width.

Probably not easier to dent than other forged wheels, but they are going to be more fragile than your typical cast wheel. lightness comes at a price (literally). You can dent any wheel out there if you hit the right pothole.
