Wheel arch fasteners

1004 Views 8 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  xxxotic
I am trying to remove my wheel arch liners, but I have a stumbled across an unexpected problem. I can't get the fasteners out. The one that came out wasn't in right.

I'm fine drilling them out, but can someone tell me where to get more?

i got some from lotus garage.i also didnt get enough and went to the junk yard.found some cars with the same style.pulled a whole bag of them for a few bucks.
+1 for "Wellnuts"
No need to try to screw the OEM fasteners out, just get something under them and pry them out (no damage is done).

I'll give a +1 to no damage by just yanking them out.
Chris, the local Autozone stores carrry inexpensive replacements in their hardware section.
Nissan ones are easier to pull out than wellnuts since they don't use screws. They eventually break after a few years, but they cost like 40 cents a piece.
I got some plastic ones at Pep Boys..
If you want metal you can also use a hollow wall dryswell screw, but you need to use a washer so that it doesnt get sucked into the hole.
