The retainer clips that the 8mm bolts go into? I have one (one of the common ones used by both rear diffuser and engine service panel that I thread the 8mm bolt through but it refuses to 'snug up' at the end.

I'm aware of the 1/4 turn bolts but would rather replace with same style retainer clip and use the 8mm bolts.

Home Depot or Lows -- 'fasteners' isle. ....or the dealer.

I've had to re-groove some of mine with a tap; you might try that first.

No for Home Depot, those guys only have standard "Speednuts" as these type of retainers are called. they don't have any metrics. Same for Ace Hardware, nada. Looks like a call into FVMC tomorrow might be the way.

Thanks Randy and Tracy. :) I will look into each of these.

I guess these fasteners are called "speednuts"?

Does anyone have the exact specs for the "speednuts", bolts and washer?

If i'm going to get these I am going to get enough for spares. I'll check out the fastenal store in Mundelein tomorrow.

You can get something similar from McMaster-Carr at $11.22 for a package of 50:

http://www.mcmaster.com

Search for item: 95210A120

BTW, if you're looking for replacement diffuser screws, look for part number: 91287A124 ($10.78 for 100)
And washers that will work (they are thinner and deform a bit when tightening): 90313A400 ($7.28 for 100)
