That was the worst post ever
Can anyone decipher that post for me? Is that guy 14 or something?

That couldn't be further from the truth. That 'extra' car displaced EVERYONE on the list. Lotus took the time to build it; therefore, it displaced me and you.Randy G said:He also affirmed that the ST Elise did not displace anyone on the list; there were no "cuts in line."
today I feel like 14! Sorry about the runons, misspellings, etc, its late and I'm pretty happy.Buck Dharma said:Can anyone decipher that post for me? Is that guy 14 or something?
Jeff, Don't BS me! I'm going to think you are a car salesman!js2665 said:1st lump in my throat since watching my kids get born! Release for a testamonial , anyone?? Sob . (NOT Saab)
JD, Matheny called me on Friday to let me know that their demo finally came in and I was so happy that I already have a deal on a car because they are telling me now that my #51 spot wouldn't be delivered till the second semester of next year if it continues like right now. That was just too damn long!_JD_ said:Quite an example of stream of conciousness there fred- congrats on the car. I would imaging that combo to be strikingly beautiful. Enjoy.
Randy G said:Well, I may have contributed to the sale of the "extra" Elise at Overseas Motors. While visiting the new arrival today with my 19 year old son, I noticed two guys who had pulled up in a very sweet, late model 911 Turbo inspecting the storm titanium wonder-machine.
This thing is bizarre! this is at least the third instance where people post about other people who endup showing up in here! Elisetalk must be reaching a critical level where most everyone who has a deposit or is interested in the Elise post or lurk around in here. Good job Randy!atyclb said:
So who are you mad at? Lotus or Overseas? You are not on the list at Overseas, so did you expect them to call dealer in the country to find you and offer you the car at MSRP? Did you expect them to refuse the car, especially when they haven't even received their demo or any customer cars? Did you not see the post from the other dealer had been offered and extra car, but did not get it because Lotus screwed up? Heck, I have heard there may be an "extra" Aztec Bronze car that may be coming in. Do you really believe that a dealer slipped in an extra AZTEC BRONZE order on a whim? That may have been built by Lotus just to get the color over here and on the road.Genjuro said:That couldn't be further from the truth. That 'extra' car displaced EVERYONE on the list. That car is a clone of the color combo that I ordered. So when the 'extra' car showed up, why didn't they look for people on the list with that color combo, and ship it to the person on the list that has been waiting the longest?

Don't do that. Then they'll just profit by selling your car on eBay. Believe me, I learned the hard way!Racer X said:If I thought my dealership was pushing my order down... I probably would walk from the car and dealership on principle.

I don't know about the other dealers, but my deposit was non-refundable once I placed my order with specifics.NtflBlueLiz said:...... and a few cars at market prices when they have drop outs, no harm no faul IMO.
That may be true, but I think that ANY dealer would keep list drop-offs and sell them at a profit. It would just be silly for them not to. My point was that if someone isn't happy with his dealer, he shouldn't drop off the list. That would only be to the dealer's benefit. Instead, the individual should press the dealer to meet its legal obligations to him.NtflBlueLiz said:I think Prestige is different dealership than almost all of the others.
