Let's start a list of folks who are leaving from Texas to go to LOG in Birmingham.

I'll start:

RichS
--------------------------------------
Starting location: Austin
Current leave day: Tuesday? Maybe early Wednesday?
Expected Route: Unknown at this point, Google suggests driving up to Dallas and then heading east, although I'm thinking of stopping in Baton Rouge to gamble. So maybe Austin to Houston to Baton Rouge to Birmingham.

I'm heading out early Wednesday. Planning to take the "northern" route up to northeast Texas and then over I20. I'll stop somewhere along the way and then get in to Birmingham by mid-day Thursday.

My wife and I are going, leaving Wendsday. Anyone care to join us? Note, the Esprit is staying home this go around as I will be trailering the 2-11.
Wife unit will be driving her Elise.
We would be happy to meet along the way.

...i'd hoped to, but unfortunately the current economy precludes it...

Leaving from Dallas on Wednesday, probably. Plan on I-20 part of the way with a detour through Natchitoches and Natchez for a bit of history. Arrive in Birmingham on Thursday.

If you care to join us, we will be stopping in Vicksburg on Wendsday evening and then continuing to B-Town on Thursday. a little Casino action on Wendsday to liven up the trip. Hotel there is not too expensive and the casino is cheap if you avoid the gaming tables.

I am arriving Saturday night and would like to meet as many Texas contingency as i can and go over the plans for your lcs events. Yes they are in the works but if you have been following our west coast series it has been busy. We just secured Laguna Seca which is a big deal simply from a financial stand point. Offering world class venues for 25 cars is difficult but we did it.Texas is next on the horizon with so many of you wanting to have a series I see it developing even quicker than our west coast series. I am making a presentation at the track day and Al has volunteered his car for some LCS badging. See you all there. JJIm
