Where and when are you going? It looks like you will be home and driving before I get my Elise to Alaska. I should have mine home by Labor day, hopefully sooner. I just had a good talk with Andrew at Autostrada on Saturday. I'll be pleasantly surprised if mine is in the July shipment, but really expect it in August.
leaving 6-24 and getting back 8-2-04.
taking my dad who is 85 and never seen alaska. he is in good shape so should be fun. i want my car!!!
Your car is not on the first ship and that means it will not be there before you leave on your trip. Sorry!
I've found Fox Valley to be nothing but 100% straight foreward. You know the delays are not their fault and you have to commend them on their honesty. I've dealt with a lot of high-end dealers and some are pretty honest, but I'm truely impressed with Fox Valley for their customer service, in addition to their honesty. When you look at the cars they sell (Lamborginis and "used" high-end cars, you have to ask how they can maintain the same level of service for over 200 pre-ordered Lotus Elise buyers (a car costing under $50,000). It still amazes me.

Not to mention the fact that there has never been even a rumor that they would charge a premium or shift the order list. FVMC gets my kudos for being the most upright dealer I've ever dealt with. No wonder they are the number one Lotus dealer in the U.S. I also heard they sold the most Espirits worldwide this year. I'll order my next Lotus (Exige?) from FVMC without a doubt.

Wow, you sound alot like a Fox Valley employee! They should hire you. :)

I personally think the level of service for a mere "$45,000" car should be equal to that of a $100,000+ car. But thats just me.

I also didnt know Fox Valley was the number 1 Lotus dealer in the US.
Yes they sold the most Espirit's this year and based on all the poles on this board they have the most deposits/orders for Elise's.

I don't work for FVMC, but I do think they have great service.
Not sure if they are still the #1 Lotus dealer, but I do remember reading/hearing somewhere that they were #1 for a very long time. They've always had a large number of Esprits on the lot (at one point when I went there I think they had one in every color), so it doesn't seem hard to believe.

I think if you sold 5 Esprits a year you would be in the running:rolleyes:
Yep LOA took the #1 title last year, first year as a dealer, sold something like 16.

Reddirt14,

Let me know if all the dealership gushing works, if so maybe I'll give it a try and will get my car sooner :D
You haven't got yours yet...? Oh, yeah I would say you need to be nicer to your dealer. Geez, am I greedy trying to get my second or third cars before the end of summer? I'd like to have a track car and a couple street cars. I want to convert one of the street cars into a monster truck/car with big 48" wheels. I'm going to jack it up so the wheels will fit far beneath the wheel wells. It will be a lot easier for me to see over other cars that way and I'll be able to change the oil without a jack. Besides the larger fat wheels will handle the bumpy roads hear in Chicago better. I think I'll also cut the rear-end off and hang a big American V8 engine back there. I'm planning on adding some steel support beams so I don't twist that lightweight chassis.

But back to the point of your response, I guess if you don't have at least one car yet, you should be a little nicer to your dealer.
So for all of our European readers out there, the last message was a joke!
