Wow, got the call from Symbolic!

I got the call from them this week as well. Went with BRG, sport pack, hardtop, starshield and no touring pack.

Good to know things are moving.

I was high 30s on the Beverly Hills list, having placed the deposit in early June, 2003. They estimated I might have the car in February.

Where were you on the list, gotapex? Did they give you a delivery estimate?

GotApex - or should it be GotLotus?

I was 45 on the BH list, then moved to like 70 or something when the lists combined.

They said delivery would be 3-4 months.

I got the call as well.. #32 on the BH list.. strange that this batch is so large... or maybe I got bumped (I don't think I did).

Vantage - they said they would call back in Jan with VIN's. They just took our order this past week.

I called Scottsdale Lotus today and they said my car was out of processing and just waiting to be picked up. Delivery time could be within the next 5 to 10 days (I'm being conservative). I think there were a few other cars that would be coming with mine.

Could be that there have been some drop offs???

Maybe the lists are still effectively separate, and the BH list is a litttle behind the La Jolla list???

Hard to know

We know they still have allocation, for the time being, to fill both lists concurrently. So throughput is essentially the same as with two lists, but the exact ordeing is probably a bit mixed up if they combined the two in order of deposit date.

I remember how excited I was when I got "the call" from Symbolic to place my order back in February. It makes the car seem a lot more real. Congrats.

When I got "the e-mail" saying that my car should be ready to be picked up in a couple of weeks, I got really excited again. Can't wait to actually take possession.

Hmm.

So feb, and now it's mid november, and in a couple weeks, will be dec. So 10 months from call to delivery.

I guess I can sit back and relax.

Well, keep in mind that the production start-up was delayed and then was slow over the first few months. I would guess that the delay between ordering and delivery will shrink some now. I hope so, as it's not healthy to agonize for such a long time.

As another data point for you, I placed the order for our second car in early March. It hit port on October 30. Don't know exactly where it is right now, but I'm hoping for a call from the dealer any day.
