My Elise was recently totaled, and I should be getting a check from my insurance shortly. I am looking for a Exige (CO, AW, KG, PB, SY or Any type of Red) I prefer one with touring, track package, and LSD.

I can pay cash, and is willing to drive 3 hours out to look at the car, but the car must be delivered to me, unless you are willing to let me drive back with your plates.

I will also need to have the car taken to a shop of my choosing, for a quick visual inspection.

I've got an Ardent Red Exige with Touring & LSD. Less than 5k miles on it. It has no issues.

I'm in Maryland and you can use my plates to take it back to NY.

What's the downside? I want $38k for it or it'll stay in my garage.

Just a tip: '06 Exiges are pretty uncommon in the U.S. and it can be very difficult to find the exact color you want. It's much easier for '07+ models... So be patient. I guess that's what I'm saying. And also, you may want to look in more places. Check cars.com and check dealer inventories.

Actually, there are probably about the same number of 07 Exige S's as there are 06 Exiges in the US. There were not really that many 07's sold here, probably not much more than a couple dozen more than 06's. Then a handful of 08 S240's, and the 220 S club racers.

I had my eye on a CO Exige in Upstate, just sold recently. Only if my check came a few weeks earlier, I probably would've been installing a SC in it.

Anyony know how much a full factory quality paintjob would run?

Thanks for the link, I was already planning to go take a look at that one next week, but since it's a dealer the price is probably a bit higher

Off topic, but my buying advice would be to ignore their price. Ask for the price you want. If they don't take it, then leave them your contact info. in case they change their minds.

That's not a very low mileage car at 19xxx miles. Their price is pretty inflated it seems!

My information is based on the number of cars brought into the US, and therefore theoretically available through private OR dealer sales.

The fact is about the same number of 07's came into the country as did 06's. Regardless of where they might be sitting now.
