Currently looking for a 2008-2011 Exige S240 or S260 for sale. I am located in Northern Virginia and would prefer to find a seller that is close, but I would be willing to travel (less than 500 miles) for the right car.

I am flexible on options, but I prefer understated colors like silver, blue, or green. Thanks!

Quick bump on this thread as I have (suddenly!) changed my mind. The first post and title have been updated. I test drove a white dash Exige and it bugged me that 0-3K rpm were so close together. The car essentially tells you to always maintain a higher rpm. I prefer gauges that are more passive (linear) and only display information, even if that information is me lugging the engine. :)

It's not close to Virginia (im in LA) but it may be the best Exige in the country:

Ultra Rare, 2011 Exige S260 Final Edition. Matte Black, # 18 of the final 25 imported to North America, Lotus Certified.
5100 miles, clean title, clean carfax, I'm the second owner. Full Expel PPF wrap (current cost of a full wrap is $6200.00).
No accidents, no paintwork, no stories! Religiously maintained by the best Lotus specialist in Los Angeles, Harry at A-1 Automotive.

NO internal engine mods! Currently running a 2Bular 9" side exit exhaust with rear panel delete. Moroso baffled oil pan, Carbon Fiber access panels, Carbon Fiber rear wing, Carbon Fiber side scoops, Carbon Fiber front splitter. Radium aluminun catch cans, RLS intercooler intake tubes. Diflow 5 panel rear diffuser.

PLEASE NOTE: All the original parts, which are in perfect condition, including the body panels, exhaust, oil pan, etc etc would be avaialble to the buyer. The only stock part that I don't have is the original factory diffuser because Difflow used mine as a template to design and fabricate their diffusers for the 2010 and 2011 S260s

Oil cooler lines recall wasperformed by Lotus.

Extremely rare car ... absolute collectors item. I've never seen another 2011 Exige S260 F.E. for sale in 5 years.

Open to offers!

Argh so close! I love the Final Edition cars - I just would not be able to take care of the Matte Black as I plan to be on track quite a bit. Thank you for the information though and I wish you luck!

I wasn't going to comment, but since you already did, I as well wouldn't consider the final edition just because of the matte black. IMHO it lowers the value of an otherwise nice car.

By not considering the 2007 Exige S, you're limiting your choices. The Exige S all make the same power with a tune, as with very few exceptions, that's the only difference (power wise) from the factory. The tune just allows the throttle body to open more. The 4-pots and rotors in the front actually worsened the front bias issue. The 2008+ have variable traction control, and the only other thing worth considering is the full roof scoop, which is easily fixed with a carbon roof that adds lightness. Just my opinion.

I asked a potential Exige buyer if he knew the difference between the model years. He professed he did, but one PM and a call later, he realized he hadn't done his research. After we agreed on the Exige for him, I picked him up at the airport, helped him purchase and ship his Exige to the left coast, and then after Korean BBQ, took him back to the airport. I even gave him an Exige shirt to welcome him to the club. My services cost him lunch, which was less than the shirt.

You do have a point, and I was thinking along the same lines when I wanted a 2007. I just figure that it is next to impossible to change out the gauge cluster whereas I can switch out the front rotors and calipers fairly easily. I do have to deal with TPMS but I should get better NVH (supposedly?) and the linear tach. Plus the newer gauge cluster can log more signals so that is a plus too. Thank you for looking out but I think it is a fair trade of features.
