My guess is a loose fuel hose or disconnected exhaust pipe....

makes me WANT to put a heavy metal bottle in my Elise...

Exhaust issues are the most common cause - see the thread linked one post above mine.

I dunno. Put it out and have to fix a partially burned car then own it, or let that mutha burn to the ground and full coverage insurance gets you a shiny new one without all the stink?

(but if insurance is gonna cover a vehicle that is on the track.....)

As you can see by the pictures, it caught fire. It does have a Salvage Title and can be rebuilt.
