If any of you guys with the new 111R that has a digital camera could take some short clips w/sound of the car driving around a little from the inside and outside. Nothing fancy and maybe just a clip like the ones most digital photo cameras can do. I would love to see the the 111R filmed from the outside screaming down a block. It would really gives us an idea of how its gonna sound and look to every poor soul who dosen't have one :) . Ive seen so many pictures and all it makes me want me want is to see it in motion. Please help :)

1fast,
I drove a 111R yesterday, the exhaust note on the 111R is slightly quieter than the US car.

I hate you! Damit I wanna play too:mad:

:D
Buy a ticket to Atlanta and sneak into the dealer gathering. Pretend you are with Lotus of Hawaii and just want to see how many cars you will be getting.
I'd love to see video clips from the passenger seat, while driving around. I'd like to see how huge Civics look when you're in the Elise.
Allan,
EVERYTHING looks huge when in an elise in traffic!;)

Although the overall height is not that low on the car, being as you sit low, you're eyball to eyeball with most door handles. Main thing with driving this car is to get used to using BOTH sideview mirrors in addition to the rear view mirror.

Actually I find it pretty easy to drive a Lotus around town - Seven, Elans, Europas, Esprits... Just think about looking around the car in front of you.

LOOK UNDER IT!!!

Really easy if you're behind an SUV. You can see the car in front of it. At night you'll see the reflections of tail-lights beneath as well.

that's the hardest part of having a small car in Texas. The damn SUVs (which I do have one of) make it near impossible to see in front of.

Being that the Elise is ultra low, your suggestion may be a way around this.

I've seen a few lifted pickups that I could almost walk under without ducking... I'm waiting to see who gets the first pic of their Elise parked perpendicular under one. (not wrecked!)

No no no no! This is a video request thread VIDEO... no more pics! :D
Robert,
The thing I found bad in Houston was how many rocks were thrown up by all the pick-ups/ SUVs and trucks. Driving in a Seven was really bad, and I suspose an Elise will be also, rocks flying up everywhere! For some reason Atlanta is not nearly as bad.
that's why my first "mod" will the the protective film all over the car (well not ALL over!)

Good move and the Dent Wizard in the stall next to Wally does application. I had my M5 done by him and he did a good job. I got sick of having to repair paint chips once a month.
james,

yup that's a good guy - he's removed many dents on my cars and does a good job.

highly recommended.

Any recommendations for a good person to apply the film in the San Diego, CA region?
