Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has coated any parts of their Elsie with a coating to reduce heat dissipation. I know especially with the OEM supercharger people talk a lot about heat soak and I am wondering if a coating like this would help or have any other benefit?

What are you thoughts?

This will have no measurable affect on the IAT to the supercharger. It may lower the engine bay temps a few degrees, but just removing all the heat shielding is 90% of the battle in our cars because you open up so much flow.

Interesting, what specific heat shielding would be good to remove? Any pics or links. Thanks!

Everything around the header and muffler. All the metal foil stuff and the rear panel. Make it so air can flow through the engine bay. Trunk temps might come up just a little, but still possible to bring beer home from the store.
