For Sale: 2006 Lotus Exige – Chrome Orange

I purchased this Exige as a way to enjoy occasional drives without adding miles to my lower-mileage S240 and S220. With 150k miles, it has been incredibly reliable and remains completely stock with no known mechanical issues. The shifter and transmission still feel remarkably tight — nearly identical to my 31k-mile Exige S220 — with only minimal side-to-side play. Most of the mileage came from highway commuting, accounting for roughly 90% of its use. Once the car was in sixth gear, it essentially stayed there for the 30 mile commute each way, hence why all original parts are still functional.

Clean Title and CarFax.

This Exige has been the perfect way to experience the platform guilt-free, and it makes an excellent entry point for someone looking to get into Eixge ownership at a reasonable price. I’ll likely pull the ad by mid-October if it hasn’t sold, as I’m happy to keep it for future use.

Notable details:

• Everything remains original, including the StarShield, radiator, clutch, and toe links. The clutch is very strong and coolant temps have never exceeded 192 degrees, so no concerns with the current cooling system.

• On my other Exiges I’ve proactively replaced these items, but their longevity here reflects how this car was used.

• I handle fluids and brake service myself, and it has been well maintained throughout its life. Recently had new pads and rotors installed.

If you’re looking for a well-kept, stock Exige that’s ready to be enjoyed, feel free to reach out.

Steven is this you? I recognize your obsession with yellow S2000’s in your avatar.

Price drop to my floor.

This ad will be pulled in the coming week so I can begin purchasing parts to refresh her for another 150k miles this winter. Once off the market, my plan is to spare no expense on the overhaul — and at that point, I’ll be very reluctant to let her go.

This was simply me wanting to give someone the opportunity to own a Chrome Orange Exige in great condition at a fair price before I keep her for the next few years.

She truly needs nothing. I just took her on a 50-mile drive yesterday through Virginia’s wine region.

Hi, your car look great from the pictures. Does the AC/heater works? Any spider formed on any of the panels? Springs/suspension still good? Ride is more harsh when compare to your lower milage Exige? How long have you own it and how many miles you driven it?
