One of our clients recently brought in an Elise for service, and something unique caught my eye. Instead of replacing the soft top with a different one, he came up with his own custom solution. It may not be fully waterproof, but it’s a smart temporary fix. At Lotus Restored, we love seeing creative ways to keep these incredible cars on the road.

If you ever find yourself in a pinch due to parts availability or pricing, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always doing our best to source and provide the Lotus community with the parts needed to keep these awesome cars on the road.

Cheers

Pretty cool solution. Keeps leaves and thieves off.

Sounds like the Taylor version was full custom and not the Lotus mechanisms with the fabric replaced. I'd love to have one. It inspires me to play with fabricating my own side mechanisms.
