Consistent with what others are saying, YMWV. You should chat it up with the shop to see how they will work with you. Many of them will appreciate your ride and try to be helpful. But ones who have been busted by the RMV for prior transgressions will (understandably) be gun shy.

They are not supposed to let you drive it in or be in the bay. And they are supposed to jack up the front to check suspension (regardless of age). 2011 has to (I believe) hook up to the OBD too.

Although they usually don't let me drive it in, I have always been allowed to position the jack. No one has been willing (for me) to skip the suspension check.

It's getting to be a bit of an annual ordeal for me, so I was considering going to the dealer in Norwell this year. But Yousef's suggestion of the Watertown shop sounds promising to me as I am close to there.

I don't think they would ever use a lift for inspection. They need to have each front tire off the ground to check suspension yes? So it's just
a jack.
