This is happening all the time now.
Sometimes after the car is off overnight it will eject, sometimes not.

Anyone have anything to try ? A search of the forum didn't find much.

Thanx in advance

Jeff

I don't know of any tricks to get out the CD. My original Alpine unit from 2009 gradually started to have trouble reading CDs. It needed to warm up for 15 minutes before it could play a CD. I got tired of that so I purchased a second unit from a member on the forum.

LOL - ejecting the Alpine sounds good.
I also saw some of the ways to remove a CD on the internet but they aren't a permanent fix, although they may work to get the disc out so I can replace the unit

Thanks....

Sounds like the unit is failing... I'm sure there are plenty of stock units lying around if you posted a WTB, and wanted to stay relatively stock. But I'd say, echoing above, eject the unit.

As for getting your disc out - the paperclip method should work. There should be a small hole to the side of the CD slot that will push the disc out without damaging the disc, nor damaging the player.

Hmmm.....Mine doesn't seem to have that hole. Its the CDA-9856
However, the disc ejected fine today since the car had been off overnight.

Its like it gets in some kind of mode where its confused about an eject command and the car has to be shut off and restarted - maybe.....
